So I have been playing a ton of 50 NL Heads Up Zoom lately and would have to say categorically that I love it. I used to play a lot of Hyper Turbo Heads Up and hated playing Heads Up Cash because of all the bum-hunting going on. I would sit a reg at HU-Cash and he would usually play a few hands and then sit out if he thought you had any idea of what you were doing. Now however with Heads Up Zoom you are playing against a pool of players with nowhere to hide. Â Good stuff.
Initially there didn’t seem to be too much action and sometimes there were only 5 or 6 players in the pool but that seems to be slowly changing and I have played sometimes where there are about 60-80 players in action at one time.
 A strategy of some sorts
In my opinion the differences in strategy between heads up cash and heads up zoom should be pretty similar. The obvious difference is that you are up against a different opponent each time so it is critical that you have a hud, and a good one at that. The hud that we have developed here at zoomrush has been specifically designed with that in mind.
When I am dealt a hand in the small blind I am min-raising and will try and open close to 100% of hands. Before that however I quickly glance at my HUD to see  what type of opponent I am up against. If someone is folding a lot in the big blind I am definitely trying to open 100% of buttons.
You need to be able to make decisions fast in these Zoom games and a quick glance at the above opponents stats we see 39 in green, meaning he is very tight out of position so a button open is almost mandatory.
If you take a look at our Heads Up Fast Fold Poker Suggested Ranges @100bb article it will be a good starting point for you to start constructing ranges for these games both in and out of position. We hope to be making more charts available soon for different opponent types.
